Usage Guide

WinAVI Video Converter can convert AVI to DVD. It is a AVI to DVD converter that convert AVI DVD format.
Step 1:

Please click the "DVD" button on the main interface , or you can click "menu" button on the main interface, then select "Any to DVD" on the submenu of the " format convert " ,and then the program will pop-up a "Select file" box. Then please choose the AVI file that you want to converter.

Step 2:

Output directory: You can click the "Browse" button to select the output directory.

Step 3:

Select encoder:You can click it to choose the DVD mode. When it is ready, just click "OK" to start to convert.

FAQ

Q: How to convert several files together to make one DVD Folder?
A: First, click the "DVD" button on the main interface of the program. Then a pop up window will appear asking you what files you want to convert. Highlight the files and WinAVI Video Converter will then batch convert them. Then you will have made them into one DVD folder.

Q: Source files can be played correctly, but after conversin, it will gets black border at both top and bottom/the picture had been cut.
A: Please adjust both "Width" and "Height" at 99% on the "Encode " tab of the "Advanced " control panel. That will be OK!

Q: WinAVI creates two DVD folders while the settings are for creating one DVD discA: If the movie is too long, the output file will be too large to fit on a normal DVD-R/+R. If so, just correct the problem by manually reselecting a larger output size. (For example, you can change the disc’s capacity from 3850MB to 4300MB). Also, you can try resetting it as follows:
Select the "Constant Video Quality" as the output mode, and then change to either "Low" or "Lower" as the output quality. Meanwhile, select the option "Split output size", and then set the split size at 1013MB. Then, the output size will be much smaller, so that you may make it fit on one DVD disc.
